We started our careers as nurses and physicians and understand the unique needs of healthcare facilities, physician groups and practices. Likewise, we’ve been patient advocates and understand the delicate juggling act of putting patients’ needs first while also answering to investors or a board of directors — after all, healthcare is still a business. Sherry Cummings
President
Sherry Cummings has been a dedicated professional in the healthcare industry since 1988 and joined Gryphon Healthcare in 2018. With deep expertise in operational and revenue cycle management, she has a proven track record of driving organizational success through strategic leadership and execution.
Sherry excels in streamlining daily operations, enhancing efficiency, and building strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners. Known for her commitment to exceptional service and effective problem-solving, she consistently delivers results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Tiffany Couch
Executive Vice President
Tiffany Couch joined Gryphon Healthcare in 2018 and serves as Executive Vice President. She leads strategy, operations, and optimization across the RCM process, working closely with her team to consistently exceed client expectations. Tiffany previously served as Billing Manager for Texas Emergency Care, overseeing RCM for freestanding ERs and urgent care centers, and also led a successful dermatology practice in Houston.
Tiffany is known for her strategic leadership and commitment to Gryphon’s core values of service and integrity. Tiffany holds a degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM).
Candace Whaley
Director of Analytics & Automation
Candace Whaley has been an integral part of Gryphon Healthcare since 2019, where she currently serves as Director of Analytics & Automation. In this capacity, she leads the organization’s business intelligence, analytics, and workflow automation operations—driving data-informed strategies, optimizing operational efficiencies, and delivering scalable data solutions. She is passionate about using data to improve operational performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Gryphon, Candace served as Senior Financial Analyst at Houston Methodist. There, she supported the Physician Organization’s revenue cycle department by delivering business intelligence solutions and analytical decision support that enhanced financial and operational outcomes. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and holds an MBA from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.
Charles Eberst
Director of Revenue Cycle Management
Charles Eberst joined Gryphon Healthcare in 2022, bringing with him over 11 years of experience in the insurance industry. His extensive background has made him an invaluable asset to the organization. Since joining Gryphon, Charles has overseen the Legal Team department, guiding all TDI and IDR matters with a strategic and knowledgeable approach. He currently serves as the Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), where he continues to play a pivotal role in shaping policy and process.
Charles is deeply committed to fostering a collaborative environment, where knowledge-sharing and team development are top priorities. He works closely with all members of the Legal Team to educate, support, and empower them—resulting in a robust IDR claims management process and a high-performing, cohesive team. His leadership is marked by an emphasis on clarity, communication, and continuous improvement.
